“My name is Macho.  I’m a model, bartender, personal trainer and full time college student from New York.  Born in Harlem by way of a bi-racial family of Puerto Rican and Honduran descent.

CJM: Our 1st feature person on CJM for 2012 is an aspiring Model from Harlem New York to be exact. Tell the viewers who you are. 

M: What’s up my name is Macho I’m a Model, Bartender, Personal Trainer and college student From Harlem, New York.

CJM: What I find very interesting about you is your name Macho what’s the story behind it?  

M: Not much of an exciting story My Spanish father named me Macho and I never questioned or looked back on it.

CJM: How long have you been modeling and what is your inspiration to do so? 

M: I’ve been modeling now two years and I wouldn’t say I had an inspiration per say I was just fortunate enough to get discovered and encouraged that I can be successful at modeling and here I am today.

CJM: What are you thinking about during a photo-shoot?

M: Hahaha… good question I’m thinking about not looking up to high so that the camera doesn’t get the white in my eye. Or that my body is not stiff that I’m flowing with my poses so that I can show the clothes off better. That will make the phphotographer, stylist and client happy. It’s the little stuff that the common person won’t see but photographers, designers, casting directors and agencies would throw your photo in the garbage if they saw those mistakes

CJM: Are you ever uncomfortable taking nude pictures?

M:  In the very beginning stages I was. Haha … (Smiles) a lot of times people take your umm… inexperience in the industry as a weakness. Meaning that when I 1st started modeling and I took nudes there wasn’t much purpose behind it besides the photographers or stylist pleasure.  These photo shoots surely wasn’t doing anything for me or my career. Now whenever I have to pose nude or even take body shots its planned out and it’s for a purpose like I.E portfolio or a job so I know what to expect and I’m more comfortable. (Smirks)

CJM: What do you see as your biggest challenge in the modeling industry?

M: My biggest challenge right now in the industry is getting signed by a reputable agency. Due to the thousands of models that are seen by the top agencies it’s very hard for them to take a second look at you with out a referral or you being spotted by one of their agents. With that being said I believe 2012 will take care of all that and I will get signed Stay tuned.

CJM: Do y ou think modeling promotes bad self-esteem for Americas Youth?

M: I think modeling can promote bad self-esteem if viewed or seen negatively. On the flip side it can promote great self-esteem for all youth by simply saying you don’t have to be a certain size to be a model. Show them that there are other kinds of models and forms modeling. I bet it will change their outlook on fashion and self-esteem.

CJM: Your physic is impressive.  How do you stay in shape?

M: Thank You I work out doing cardio and minimal weight training, I also still play baseball and I box from time to time.

CJM: How long have you been a personal trainer and how often do you work out?

M: I’ve been a trainer for 6 years and I work out 4-5 days a week.

CJM: Are you currently enlisting clients?

M: I’m always taking on new clients who need help reaching there goals or need a change in there fitness routine.

CJM: If you could change one thing about the world what would it be?

M: Probably create free health care for all the worlds youth. So many countries in the world people are dying of insignificant things that are due to there lack of health care resources.

CJM: Do you think there should be a top model for men and why do you think one hasn’t been already created?

M: There should definitely be a male top model show. The reason why one hasn’t been created yet because modeling is still a largely female dominated industry with women making over 4 times as much as men. But I think the gap is closing and there will be a show like top model for males real soon!

CJM: Is there life on other planets?

M:  I’m sure there is.

CJM: So you are a model, personal trainer, and bartender?

M: Yes. I’m also now a full time college student majoring in Nutritional Science. You all need to pray for me on this one! Haha… I’ve never been the biggest school fan but I feel that I’m doing something I like which is anything regarding wellness and nutrition so I’m hoping ill have an easier time getting through it. (Smiles)

CJM: When do you have time to sleep?

M: Believe me even though I love to work because I love money. I do take time to hit the bed and get my rest!

CJM: This interview would not be right I did not say happy birthday to a fellow Capricorn yours was a day before mine!

M: Thanks alot bro it’s always a good time of the year, my born day I celebrated the whole weekend hopefully it will be a movie!

CJM: What are your goals for 2012?

M: I have a few 1st to book as many shows as I can for this seasons New York fashion week which goes on February 10-17. Next to get signed by a top agency here in NY and or abroad. Also to finally get my driver’s license…  I know I’m late, don’t judge me! Haha lastly now that I’m a full time student to be able to do well in school and hope it doesn’t cause a conflict with all the other stuff I do.

CJM: Are you concerned about the world ending this year?

M: Not concerned at all because as I tell people as long you keep talking or are worried about the world ending it won’t! I believe the world will end when we each least expect it,  Just saying.

Fitness Fun Fact:  SHOULD I WORKOUT ON AN EMPTY STOMACH SO MY BODY WILL BURN FAT?

ELLE: That is a great question? You must put glucose (food) in the system before you exercise. If you are exercising with no glucose in the system, it sends your body into Emergency Mode. Emergency Mode = hold on to body fat for as long as possible because it is valuable energy and will be necessary to survive. Instead of fat, your body will break down muscle tissue and use that as energy. So just like you wouldn’t drive your car without gas you shouldn’t exercise without food. Remember your HEALTH is your WEALTH!!!

Fitness Fun Fact: How much water should you drink while trying to lose weight?

ELLE: What a great question. Typically speaking you should drink half of your weight of water. For instance if you weight 150lbs then you should be drinking 75 ounces of water a day. This helps to flush your kidneys and prevent dehydration. Initial weight loss is largely due to loss of water, and you need to drink an adequate amount of water in order to avoid dehydration. The process of burning calories requires an adequate supply of water in order to function efficiently; dehydration slows down the fat-burning process. Burning calories creates toxins (think of the exhaust coming out of your car), and water plays a vital role in flushing them out of your body. So try to drink more water and see what difference it makes with your weight loss. Remember your HEALTH is your WEALTH!!!

These are the photo’s of last months tryouts for the Lady Houston Panthers Lingerie Football Team!  The season will be starting in a few weeks so let’s support the Lady Arena Football League here in H-Town! ~ C.Jay

We arrived at Kicks Indoor Soccer Arena not knowing what to expect when we showed up at the Lady Houston Panther’s last tryout on this past Saturday February 11, 2012.  The doors opened at 9am and it was time for us to walk into the gym.  I accompanied my sister LaNetta and my right hand, Lady Carter in their quest to gain a professional contract playing for this newly formed Women’s Football Team. At first glance it seemed like tryouts would be simple and quick because there were only a handful of girls to compete against.  There was a lot of nervous energy in the air as the participants set on the bleachers waiting with anticipation of being registered to participate in the picking of the newest members of the Lady Panther Family.

As about twenty girls stood in line awaiting instructions I begin to eye a beautiful caramel-toned fit female with long flowing hair dressed in black athletic attire.  Seconds later she began to instruct the women on the process of registering and I could tell she was not only a Lady Panther player but a major leader in this organization.  I learned her name was Zipporah Chase the Spokesperson and Captain for this Lady Arena Football League.  After a few questions of clarity tryouts were definitely in full effect.  After signing release forms, paying fee, receiving Panther’s T-shirts, taking pictures, and being numbered the women headed back to the bleachers only this time the handful of contestants had turn into a mob of almost 200 bodies. We overheard Zipporah say, “This turnout was way bigger than the first one held in December,” and we could tell that this would be an interesting experience.

While returning to the bleachers we were joined in our section by additional participants.   “Wow did you see how many people showed up bro?” my sis said as she returned to the arena with number 97 written on her arm.  I had noticed the increase of women.  The participants represented all ages, races, body forms, and creeds.  Many girls began to stretch and play catch while the girls who surrounded me began to talk to each other as well as myself about how they felt about what was unraveling before their eyes.  About 30 minutes later the female football hopefuls were called out to the indoor arena turf to join the coaches, staff, and trainers to start this contracted selection process.

What I loved about this Lady Houston Panther experience was the love being shared among the women on the field.  They were giving each other football tips and cheering each other on even when other contestants failed at a drill.  It showed me you can put a group of like-minded females together and they can co-exist without ‘Cat Fighting.’  At the conclusion of the event the ladies were brought into a circle and were told that the selections would be made by this Wednesday February 15, 2012. They were also told by Ms.Chase that there was room in the company for who all wanted to be apart and the various positions would also be paid… who can beat that? I think this team will promote Female Unity not only here in Houston but wherever this team sets it’s foot in a seductive but tasteful manner.  No matter if you like football or not you should be at their first game in April of this year.  Trust me it will be worth attending.

Movie Review by:  Octavius S. / Chicago IL.

So I saw this movie recently and much like many of us I did not walk in expecting a movie that would delve into the depths of real fundamental relationships… and that’s what I got. Considering the book the movie was based on I really didn’t expect much at all.

The movie is absolutely hilarious! If your going in just for this aspect you will be just fine but if you’re expecting a serious movie involving BELIEVABLE relationships walk away now.

The movie falls into the same vain as many other romantic comedies do, blame the men and patronize the women. This immediately drops this movie from being funny yet a serious depth into real, quantifiable relationships.

The movie commonly portrays relationships that don’t seem possible in real life much less believable in the movie. The characters are empty and have no real depth you’ll find yourself not knowing what they do for a living, what may have made them into the people they are etc. until the very end of the movie.

Steve Harvey’s short monologues in the film seemed unnecessary and even jarring at times removing you from the experience for no measurable reason. On the note of Steve Harvey the movie seemed to be one huge promotion of his enterprises from his another why women aren’t getting what they want book to the mentions of him hosting family feud.

You might think from this short review that I didn’t like the movie but the fact is I loved it! Kevin Hart made the movie exactly what I went for and that was funny…

3 out of 4 stars if you want funny.
1 out of 4 if you want a real drama/delve into relationships as a whole.

Women are foolish and Men don’t care.

Let’s look at the Biblical story of Adam and Eve.  Eve got fooled by a cunning snake and Adam didn’t care what God had told him hence the story and structure of current relationships.  A foolish woman will let love keep her in unhealthy situations.  A man that doesn’t care will never know love or be able to give love.  A foolish woman has no control over her finances.  A man who doesn’t care has many sexual affairs.  A foolish woman causes a man’s peace of mind to dissipate in seconds.  A man who doesn’t care demolishes lives in minutes.

A foolish woman will inhale the lies of a man who doesn’t care like a sweet fragrance.

Most married women allow their husbands to cheat on them.  Most married men who cheat don’t think their behavior is wrong.  Most married women wont leave their cheating spouse because of friends and family.  Most friends and family know the husband is cheating and wonders why the faithful wife continues to be a victim.  Woman are foolish and Men don’t care… I think you get the picture.

A man who doesn’t care about human relationships  always desires power and will sacrifice innocent people to advance for the greater good of themselves in their personal lives.  This bleeds into our American Society which  is built on non-caring men hence Corporate America and other power driven organized entities World Wide.

Remember this is the GAME called “LIFE.”

It’s impressive to see a man moved by true compassion because most men lack genuine emotions.  Apathy is not a virtue.  A man without the ability to cry takes his furry out on many.  A predictable person will always be set up for pitfalls.  People know more about your personal life than you care to know.  To many beautiful individuals in one setting causes problems.  A man who knows how desirable he is can blur the lines of life and logic allowing them much Earthly material gain.  A clever man likes to play with other individuals minds.   It sharpens their manipulation skills. Friends are few but a necessity to survive so treat the one’s YOU CHOOSE well.

You’ll be dead longer than you’ll be alive so make the best of your present existence!
