Houston Lingerie Football
I was listening to 97.9 The Box Madd Hatta Morning Show this past Friday and learned that Houston was set to be the home of a all Women’s
Professional Football Team. Not only will the ladies be playing football they will be wearing sex clothing. Known to some as Lingerie Football, Assistant Coach Dwayne Ware (former U of M Football Star) of the Lady Houston Panthers assured the listeners that uniforms will be suitable for any audience because this sport is billed as a family event destination. The team will also be coached and headed by former NFL Star Shantee Orr (Former Texans Linebacker). Currently there are six teams in the Sugar & Spice Football League and all players on the teams hold professional sports contracts. Lady Arena Football (as Mr. Ware calls it) will be played at the George R. Brown Convention Center in Houston starting April 9, 2012.
I first became aware of the creation of the Lady Panthers in December and many Houstonian woman are set to attend the last tryout of this season… SATURDAY. The radio listeners were informed that tryouts would be held at Kicks Indoor Soccer Arena at 611 Shepherd Houston, Tx 77007. I went to their website and found the this add on the Home Page:
“You heard me right. If you are interested in being part of the Lady Houston Panthers KICKS invites everyone to come watch the Lady Arena Football League’s Houston Lady Panthers professional lingerie football tryouts!!! The tryouts will be at KICKS Saturday, February 11th from 9:30am-12pm. The Lady Panthers are looking for up and coming models that are physically fit and interested in getting exposure to the entertainment industry. Dress attire for trying out includes gym wear, a towel, and running shoes/indoor turf cleats. Ladies will be tested on a variety of drills and skills such as running, passing, coordination, speed, pad aggression, etc. Doors open at 9:30am. Coach Dwayne Ware told the Madd Hatta Morning Show crew that he and the owner’s of The Lady Panthers were happy about bringing this type of sports attraction to Houston. He stated the team is looking for girls with individuality & leadership ability but if you can’t workout intensely then there is no need to apply.
